Description
This research project investigated the protection of children and young adults online within the framework of the Digital Services Act (DSA) implementation at the national level. The study focused on identifying recurrent challenges and practical obstacles in tackling illegal and harmful online content, with specific attention given to the distinct risks faced by girls and boys. By examining the interplay between EU-level regulations and national measures, the project aimed to find ways to minimize online risks for youth while firmly respecting their rights to freedom of expression, information access, and digital participation.
Following the conclusion of this research, the FRA released data on Selected national legal provisions on harmful content affecting children in EU Member States.
