Description
This FRA project aimed to identify practical challenges, promising practices, inconsistencies and or gaps in way practitioners’ approach and implement human rights and environmental due diligence. Alongside pin-pointing existing weaknesses, the project examined how businesses and those engaged in this area understand their responsibility with regard to respecting human rights on the basis of binding national legislation or voluntary international frameworks such as the UNGPs or OECD Guidelines. The findings of this research are intended to improve the current regulatory framework and where necessary act as a sounding board for potential, future harmonisation.
